Being with your spouse 24/7, it’s nice to take a little break every now and again. So this weekend Aaron stayed home to paint – and I decided hang out with my parents in rural Oregon.
Armed with a small a fully-loaded iPod and a pound of good coffee, I hopped (literally!) Amtrak to take the 6 hour train ride. I teased my parents, that this is first time in 30 years I have had them all to myself! I felt like a kid again – playing with their cats, riding bikes and hanging out in my mom’s sewing room.
Returning home I checked on my husband, who is in the middle of doing 30 paintings in 30 days, as part of the Forgotten Works Challenge. It was fun to peek at some of his works in progress – I can’t wait to see what he comes up with!
