Sustainable, Durable and Ethical Made in USA handbags
The most sustainable bag in the world is the one you already own.
At Crystalyn Kae, that idea has guided our design philosophy from the very beginning. Long before terms like circular fashion entered the conversation, we were designing bags meant to stay in use for years—experimenting with reclaimed materials, producing in small batches, and building products strong enough to cross the world and through the washing machine.
Research in product design suggests that 80% of a product’s environmental impact is determined long before it’s made: during the design phase itself. That’s why our approach focuses on thoughtful choices at every step: the materials we use, the craftsmanship that builds each bag, and the people behind its production.
Crystalyn Kae has spent more than two decades studying materials, production systems, and durability—from early work in the London and New York fashion industry to a Venture Fellowship at the Brooklyn Fashion + Design Accelerator and an immersive program studying vegetable-tanned leather in Tuscany.
These experiences shaped how every Crystalyn Kae bag is designed today.
