Just a teaser photo of some new thread colors that I’m using to sew my new Spring bags coming soon! Any guesses?? What would YOU like to see me create?
I’d love to hear. Please post your comments in my blog below or send me an email.
I have just added a few new bags in a vintage fabric that I like to call “Tiger Lily“. Featuring turquoise hibiscus, and tiger lilies on a butter yellow background. I discovered this fabric while on a road trip to San Francisco and bought all of it! It is the perfect kick-off to my Spring 2010 palette. Available now on my website!

Oh my goodness, I am all set up and ready to go! Come visit me and my bags at the bestest UCU ever!! December 5 & 6 at Seattle Center Exhibition Hall. I’ll be in booth #44!

Oh man, what a nutty week it’s been! I’ve been scrambling to make sure that I have 1 of every single bag I currently offer, (nearly 100!) ready for our spring photoshoot this weekend. But after a near all-nighter, I was ready in time. The incredibly talented Christina Domingues was visiting from LA, and I managed to book a day with her to re-shoot all my classic styles, plus a few new bags that will be introduced in the Fall. It was a long and windy day on my rooftop . . .but it went beautifully! I can’t wait to get the photos and load ‘em all on the website. . .Check back next week!
p.s. A big thank you to Show Pony for loaning clothes for the shoot!
The nice folks at Ideal Bite featured my handbags today:

“Bag selection looking slim these days? Start your day with a new tote from Crystalyn Kae. From messenger bags to totes to clutches, these sturdy, roomy purses have at least three pockets and you can customize ‘em with more to keep track of your reusable water bottle, keys, small animals, whatever (the Métier Work Tote’s perfect for your laptop). The classic and richly colored (orange, maple brown, bright green, etc.) bags are made of vegetable-tanned (sans nasty chems) and reclaimed leather, recycled and vintage textiles, and vegan materials like glazed fabrics that resemble aged leather. Just released: new medium-size hobo bags in vibrant hues like wine, cobalt blue, and red. Cereals-ly.”
What a busy weekend we have had! After consuming copious quantities of stuffing and apple pie, we returned home to a very full in-box. . .with lots of orders! So first thing this morning we packed the orders from the weekend, and did a quick dash up the hill to the post office. We are working on stack #2, since today we are having a 1-day sale on select clutches for $50! I am so delighted that so many customers have come back for 2 or 3 bags to give as gifts, and really appreciate all of the word-of-mouth advertising and support. What a fabulous Monday. . .thank you!
Since I’m not very good at keeping secrets, I wanted to inform you that I will be releasing my holiday line, “The Twelve Bags of Christmas,” on Monday, December 1st. These twelve handbags are glamorous, sophisticated and sure to make any holiday cocktail dress pop. All Crystalyn Kae handbags are available on my website with free-shipping to anywhere in the U.S. and are guaranteed to arrive by Christmas day if ordered by December 20th! Many of the handbags are very limited edition and are sure to sell-out quickly, so plan ahead.
In the spirit of giving, on Monday, December 1st, for one day only, I will be offering two for $100 on select clutches. If you are too anxious to wait for the Monday sale, I have made a few handbags available to purchase today!

A big thank you to Steve and Susan at the Balmar, for hosting our photoshoot last week! The exposed brick walls, wooden staircase and cocktail vibe were a perfect setting!
I wanted to get some ‘warm’ shots of some of my most popular bags, and I think we succeeded! Thank you also to Heather for being my supermodel!
